Promotion &Assessment Policy
School will assess a child based on Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. Scholastic will include Internal / Periodic Assessment (20 /10marks) and Quarterly, Half Yearly & / Annual Examination (80/40 marks). The academic year is divided into three terms and each term has one assessment reports.
Class 1
- The grading system of Class I is an overall assessment of a child’s performance in class which includes the written as well as oral skills. Formal exams are not held, however at the end of each term, written and oral testing are done which further helps in assessing a child.

- The students will be assessed on the basis of day to day regular classroom observations and performance. These theme-based assessments are carried out in various ways which include written assessments via worksheets and written work done in notebooks/workbooks in school and at home, oral assessments via classroom discussions, interactions, and activity assessments that are judged primarily through CCA Activities, project activities, , creative work, etc.
- The assessment would comprise of worksheet, assignment, recitation, group discussions, dictation, quizzes, project work, extempore, field project etc.
Classes II – IV
- Apart from the written term Examination ,assessments include components like written test, multiple assessments, portfolio/notebooks and subject enrichment. Continuous evaluation is carried out throughout the session in various ways which include written work done in school and at home, verbal assessments via classroom discussions and interactions, project assignments and co- curricular activities. Therefore, high marks secured by a student in written assessments will not always result in securing high grade for any subject. The final grades of all examinable subjects in a term will take into account the performance of student in both the continuous and the written assessments.
ClassesV-X
- In this section , the school adopts assessment policy as per the guidelines from state board .As per this assessments are divided in to two parts namely :
- Continuous Evaluation(CE)
- Term Evaluation (TE)
Internal Assessment include components like written test, multiple assessments, (Multiple Assessment tool is a component of Periodic Assessment, uses variety of strategies like quizzes, oral test, concept map,, learning process assessment etc)portfolio/notebooks and subject enrichment .
Weightage
The academic session has three terms. Each term shall have one or more round of Unit Tests (UTs) and one Term exam ( Quarterly/Half Yearly / Annual Exam). All terms carry equal weightage.
